Gigabyte's booth is bursting at the seams with new stuff, and we've picked one of our favorites - the T1000P multitouch netbook with swivel screen.
The T1000P is a 10.1-incher with a matte WXGA 1366x768 multi-touch screen capable of chewing HD content. It is based on Atom N450 at 1.66GHz and features Intel’s GMA 3150 graphics. It will feature maximum of 2GB DDRII SO-DIMM and 250GB 2.5’’ SATA HDD at 5400rpm.
We played with it for a few minutes and it's pretty nice, the responsiveness easily beats some competing devices, and the entire device is in one word cute.
The T1000P comes priced at around a bit steep $599 and we were told that the company is looking to make it available as soon as possible, but we don't know the exact timeframe. Truth be told, the iPad starts at $499 and the T1000P is easily twice the device for $100 more, which makes it a no-brainer but the "brainer" part might be the problem there.
