Thinner than iPhone

In addition to the renderings and information about the upcoming Asus e-reader trio, we managed to score some real pictures of the DR-950, the 9-inch grayscale touch screen e-reader. The new reader sits next to the iPhone which shows the real perspective on how big and thin the DR-950 really is.

As noted in previous articles, the DR-950 has a 9-inch 1024x768 touch screen display, has a 9mm thickness and weighs 370g. It should be available with 2 or 4GB of internal memory, SD card slot, WiFi and HSDPA, optional WiMAX, integrated stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio jack and an USB port for side-loading.

It will feature support for PDF, TXT, Audible, MP3, HTML and most common picture file formats. Judging by the pictures, The DR-950 might be the first out of three that will hit retail but unfortunately Asus is still not talking about the launch date and the price.
