Maingear shows its F1X gaming systems

Three new systems


Maingear has rolled out three new gaming systems which will be exclusively available at Tigerdirect.com, Circuitcity.com and CompUSA.com, the F1X. The F1X will be available in three base flavours branded as F1X 200, F1X 500 and F1X 750. All three systems feature factory overclocked CPUs and the X20 liquid cooling solution.

The first one, the F1X 200, is based on a P55 platform and features a Core i5 750 CPU overclocked to 2.93GHz, 8GB of memory, 1TB of storage space and two Radeon HD 5750 cards in Crossfire and a 22x DVD writer. It comes pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and this is also the cheapest model with a US $2,249 price tag.

Both the F1X 500 and the F1X 750 are based on the same X58 platform and both come pre-loaded with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. The "cheaper" F1X 500, set at US $3,099, features Intel's Core i7 950 CPU overclocked to 3.3GHz, 12GB of memory, 1TB of HDD storage and two HD 5770 graphics cards in Crossfire. The F1X 750 has a price tag of US $5,149 and features Core i7 975 overclocked to 3.6GHz, 12GB of memory, an 80GB Intel SSD for OS and 1.5TB HDD for storage and two Radeon HD 5870 graphics cards. Both of these systems are also equipped with a 22x DVD drive and a 6x Blu-ray writer.
