Satirical site not funny

Search engine
outfit Google has taken down links to a website that promotes racist views of Australian Aboriginals.

The US site Encyclopedia Dramatica is supposed to be a satirical and extremely racist version of Wikipedia. Aboriginal man Steve Hodder-Watt found the site on Google and when he tried to modify it he was blocked. So he took legal action, that resulted in Google acknowledging its legal responsibility to remove the offensive site.

It portrays indigenous Australians in the most unsavory light possible, and you wouldn't want a child stumbling across it. The site would be blocked by the Federal Government's new mandatory filter so unless anyone can come up with a way of bypassing it it is unlikely to be seen in Oz again.

However Google appears to have only blocked the site in Australia. We had a search in Europe and it is still up here.
