Our moles have reached out to us today with news that Rockstar Game is putting the final touches in getting the first of the two exclusive Xbox 360 episodes for Grand Theft Auto IV ready for release on the PC platform. The news that the Lost and Damned will arrive for PC owners is a bit of a surprise, since no one had any idea that it was in the cards for anything but eventual release on the PlayStation 3 at some point in the future.

From what we hear, the Xbox 360 exclusivity deal is about to expire on the first episode content for GTA IV and Rockstar will be moving forward with the PC release of Lost and Damned with the Ballad of Gay Tony to follow at some point in the future. It is unknown yet how the developer plans to distribute the episode content for PC users, but it is likely that it will be both by disc at retail as well as download, at least if recent comments by the publisher are accurate.

While we don’t have a time frame on when it will arrive, we have to think it is likely to arrive before the end of the year; but don’t quote us on that yet.
