Google has been sued by a Chinese company
which claims its name is too close to its own.
Guge Science and
Technology said Google's commercial name had led to thecompany being
constantly disturbed by people calling up its office trying to contact the
search engine. He said it was just a small matter for Google to change
its and it would not be bothered again.
In China, Google uses a
transliteration of the English word "Google" and it appears in Guge's
commercially registered name.
The case had been accepted by a court in
Beijing's Haidian district, the Beijing News reported. Beijing Guge's
refused to tell Reuters about its operations or its products or
services.
