Sony has announced that upcoming Sony Blu-ray releases will include a PSP portable version of the movie for download as part of the standard for Sony Blu-ray titles that include digital copies going forward. The first batch of movies that will include the PSP version will arrive starting on November 10 in North America, with other regions to follow at a later date. The first two titles to arrive that will include the PSP digital copy option are said to be Godzilla and The Ugly Truth.

In order to transfer the digital copies to your PSP, you will need, however, to own a PlayStation 3 to complete the transfer from the Blu-ray disc, according to our sources. In other news of note, it would appear that some new titles from Sony will also include digital copies for the PC platform. No word yet on what the exact requirements might be for the PC version of the digital copy.
