Xbox 360 Halo Elite bundle not for everyone

In addition to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Xbox Elite, Microsoft will also be dropping a special Halo Elite bundle for those outside North America. Right now it is being limited to the PAL territories, but if successful it might find its way to North America at some point, according to our sources.

It really isn’t all that much to get excited about, as it is the standard Xbox 360 Elite with one wireless controller and a wired headset. The bundle is the big difference, as it includes Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and access to the Halo: Reach Beta once it starts.

Perhaps the strangest thing about the announcement of the Halo 3: ODST Elite bundle is the fact that it includes the standard black colored wireless controllers, rather than the special edition Halo 3: ODST wireless controller that Microsoft is bundling with the special edition version of Halo 3: ODST. Heck, we would even settle for any of the first Halo wireless controllers that Microsoft offered some time back as part of the bundle. Pricing will vary by region, but we suspect that it will be a bit more than the standard Elite in the end.

While we are still hearing that Microsoft is deciding what they are going to do for a holiday bundle this year, whispers that we are hearing today seem to suggest that it is possible that Halo 3: ODST Elite bundle could end up as the bundle for the Elite, while the Arcade would get a different bundle, just as last year.
