WD 640GB Scorpio Blue

Joining the competition in the 2.5-inch capacity race, WD has released a new model in its 2.5-inch Scorpio Blue line, the 640GB model.

The new Scorpio Blue has two 320GB platters spinning at 5400RPMs, 8MB of cache, SATA 3.0 interface and a needs 30 percent less power compared to its predecessor.

The drive is backed a three years warranty and has a recommended price of US $149. We are quite sure that these will pop up in OEM systems as well as the retail/e-tail pretty soon.
