Sound Blaster Arena and new Fatal1ty headset

Creative has come up with two new gaming headsets, the Sound Blaster Arena Surround USB Gaming Headset and the Fatal1ty Professional Series Gaming Headset MkII. Both of these feature Creative's Silencer active noise cancellation technology as well as VoiceFX for some fun with the included headset mic.

Both headsets are designed as a over-the-ear which is usually a most comfortable solution. The Arena Surround USB headset comes with 40mm Neodymium Magnet drivers which claim frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, impedance of 32ohms and sensitivity of 105dB/mW.

The noted Silencer active noise cancellation technology can only be activated when paired with a Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium series sound card, at least when you talk about Fatal1ty MkII headset. The Arena is a different story as it has a built-in X-Fi technology with EAX support. As the name suggests, the Arena comes with an USB jack while Fatal1ty MkII headset is sticking to good old gold-plated 3.5mm one.

Both headset should start selling in Asia sometime during middle of this month with a price tag of US $69.99 for the Fatal1ty MkII and US $99.99 for the Arena. In Europe the Fatal1ty MkII is popping up at about €62,- while the Arena is not yet listed.
