It would seem that the launch for the much expected successor to the BlackBerry Storm, which known as Storm 2, will be going to Vodafone UK and Verizon first as expected.

The Storm 2, which will be likely known as the BlackBerry Storm 9520 on Vodafone UK and the BlackBerry Storm 9550 on Verizon, looks to arrive at Vodafone UK during the month of October, while Verizon will hold off till November for their launch.

The Storm 2 appears to be much closer to release than anyone really thought that it was. It is surprising that Vodafone UK will go for an October launch, which is far ahead of the Verizon schedule of launching in November. From what our sources tell us, Verizon wants to leave additional time for technical acceptance testing and the like to iron out as many bugs as possible prior to the launch. The company is perhaps still feeling the sting of the first Storm launch and wants to make sure that they get it right this time around.
