Hitachi joins the 2TB club
Could end up cheap
Hitachi has launched its biggest hard drive so far, the Desktstar 2TB HD32000IDK7.
Seagate and WD already have 2TB units on the market, but there's a chance Hitachi's drive could end up a bit cheaper than the competition.
There's nothing thrilling about the spec, 7200RPM, 32MB of cache, perpendicular recording, and what Hitachi is calling "best-in-class" power managementand thermals.
