In an unexpected turn of events, it seems that the Dead To Rights sequel known as Dead To Rights: Retribution has been delayed till 2010 now, according to several of our sources.

The sequel from Namco Bandai is in development for the Xbox 360, as well as the PlayStation 3. While we now know that the title has slipped to the point that it has been pushed back, what is unclear from our sources is exactly why the title is being delayed.

Despite several positive previews of the unfinished title that seemed to indicate that the title was on track for release, it is now likely that it we will not see it arrive till sometime in the first quarter of 2010. We are still trying to get more information of the nature of the delay and we will report it if we can pin down why the title has slipped.

Namco Bandai up to this point has not released an official statement announcing the delay, but we expect to see one by Monday at the latest, according to our sources.
