Affordable and feature rich

Cooler Master's latest addition looks set to be a surefire hit with those looking for an affordable but feature rich case. The Gladiator 600 as it's know might not compete with some high-end models, partly because it's a steel case, but this is unlikely to put a lot of people off it.

The Gladiator 600 stands 440mm high and it's 485mm deep and 202mm wide. This makes it a fairly roomy case which the five 5.25-inch and five 3.5-inch drive bays further highlights. There are a pair of USB 2.0 ports, a pair of audio jacks for a headset and last but not least an eSATA connector around the front. It seems like Cooler Master has given FireWire a miss, but for most people this won't really be an issue, as the interface has lost popularity over the past couple of years.

You also get a rear top mounted 140mm fan and a front mounted 120mm fan with an on/off switch for the built in LED's. There's also space for a further two side mounted and one rear mounted 120mm fans. The PSU goes into the bottom of the case and the Gladiator 600 does of course feature Cooler Masters clever hole in the motherboard backplate which allows you to change coolers that are screwed onto the motherboard without having to remove the motherboard from the case first. The only thing that seems to be a bit lacking is the cable management, but there are some locations for cable ties to be fastened.

At €64.90 the Gladiator looks like a bargain for what you get and you can check out the product page here for more details and pictures.
