Red Hat Snubs Microsoft

Red Hat has rejected Microsoft's overtures to work together and avoid being sued in any future trademark disputes.

Red Hat, which is probably the largest Linux vendor, has said it will not do a deal similar to the one the Redmond giant signed with Linux distributors Novell, Xandros, and Linspire.

A spokesperson for Red Hat said that the company  believes that open source and the innovation it represents should not be subject to an unsubstantiated tax that lacks transparency.
