WD launches 2TB MyBook external drive

New series based on latest Caviar Green HDDs

 

Western Digital has launched a new series of external storage units, based on its latest Caviar Green HDDs and dubbed My Book World Edition.

Design-wise, the new MyBooks closely resemble previous series, but ship only in pearl white enclosures. The new drives offer USB 2.0 and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity.

WD will offer two capacities, 1TB and 2TB, priced at $229 and $449 respectively.
