LG has recently given
Snuff.tv a sneak preview information of its upcoming
super-slim
55-inch
LH9500 LED backlit LCD TV.
The display, set to debut at CES 2009 in less
than 72 hours, boasts an incredible 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and
features the company's own 240Hz TrueMotion Drive dejudder technology. With a
mere thickness of just 24.8 millimeters (0.976 inches), the LCD is definitely an
eye grabber for its super-slim appeal. According to several picture shots, we
believe the display also has a native 16:9 aspect ratio due to its peculiar
width.
In addition, the display expectedly features
DivX HD support, allowing for HD content to be viewed via USB or Bluetooth. Another feature reported for this model is LG's
Intelligent
Sensor technology, which supposedly analyses the ambient light in a room and
then automatically adjusts the picture settings for optimal quality. As far as
wired connectivity options are concerned, HDMI ports will be standard as as
we've recently mentioned, LG's newer displays such as this model will allow
Netflix videos to be streamed from the Internet without the need for an
additional device.
Unfortunately, the MSRP has not been released yet, but
we don't expect it to come cheap. As one of the more noteworthy LCDs we've seen,
we are eager see if it impresses in person shortly.
