450 Watts and a modular design

Corsair has launched its latest addition to the HX series of power supply units, the new HX450W. Based on the same design as the award-winning HX1000W, the new HX450W has the same single 12V rail design, efficiency of over 80 percent and modular design.

The new HX450W is a part of Corsair's Professional Series, and as such, it uses industrial grade components which should ensure stable, clean and reliable Voltages with a total of 88 percent power output on the 12V rail. The new HX450W has a single 12V rail design that can deliver 33 Amps of power and comes with ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 support.

This new PSU has a MTBF of 100,000 hours and is cooled by a single 120mm temperature-controlled fan. The HX450W uses flat modular cables which should ensure maximum airflow in the computer chassis.

The HX450W should already be available in Europe and Asia and comes with a seven-year warranty. It can already be found listed at Geizhals.at, and the current lowest price stands at €78.34.
