Might be a joke

Microsoft employees have been asked to turn in their iPods in favour of the Zune.  The team that builds the Zune have set up a bin at its headquarters so employees can drop in iPods they don’t want to use anymore.

A photo of the iPod Amnesty Bin, which has on it an image of a bitten green apple and the words "Bite me", has been posted on Flickr.
A few older iPods have been handed in.

A Microsoft spokesperson said that the bin was a joke by the Zune team. The picture was taken up by the Pro-Apple press who took it seriously.
