Anti-violence crusader Jack Thompson has been disbarred for life by Florida's Supreme Court. The controversial attorney is well known in the industry for his efforts to put an end to violence in games, and his legal battles with the likes of Rockstar and Microsoft.

However, Thompson is putting up a fight, filing an emergency motion with the Court and accusing it of a perversion of justice. In a press release, Thompson claims the disbarment is the court's way of retaliating for his book, Out of Harm's Way, in which he blasts the court for attacking his activism against the entertainment industry.

Also, the disbarment comes just days after Thompson sued The Florida Bar, Supreme Court and all seven justices. Coincidence? You be the judge of that.
