Sweden wins GoOC 2008

During Gigabyte's Open Overclocking Championship in Taipei, Taiwan today, team 2 Sweden came out as the overall winner of the competition by scoring the fastest Super Pi run and highest 3DMark 06 score. The team was made up of of Jon Sandström from Sweden and Petri Korhonen from Finland.

Second place went to the Russian team consisting of Sargis Getemyan and Dmitry Rodionov, with third place going to team 1 USA, which was made up of Ross Lapkoff and Mark LeaMaster.

The winning team won a prize of US$5,000, with second place getting US$3,000 and third place netting US$1,000. All three teams also got a VelociRaptor hard drive from Western Digital.
