OCZ announces the new ModXStream Pro PSU line-up

OCZ has
announced a whole new series in its PSU line-up, the ModXStream Pro. This new series will be available in 400, 500, 600 and 700W configurations and it will be branded as a superior gaming-grade power supply series.


The new ModXStream Pro series uses modular cable management system and comes with a dual 12V rail design. It also features an 86 percent efficiency under the typical load and up to 82 percent under the full load. The top model will feature 25 amps on each +12V rail, and it will come with a single 6-pin PCI-E, one 6+2-pin PCI-E, four peripheral, two floppy and six SATA connectors.

The new ModXStream series will be cooled by a single 120 mm fan, or in the case of the 400W version, a larger 140mm fan. Just as every other high performance PSU from OCZ, this series will also feature overvoltage, overcurrent and short-circuit protection as well as the .99 active PFC.

The new series is backed up with a 3-year PowerSwap warranty replacement program and it should hit the store shelves soon.
