DriveClub gets updates

by on14 October 2014

Servers still an on-going issue

DriveClub has received a major patch (1.03 update) over this past weekend, but despite the patch and the hard work of the developers, server issues are still on-going. Evolution Studios issues a statement on their Facebook page that they are working hard to get everyone online as soon as possible.

While the specifics are unknown. It seems that capacity seems to be an issue as talk about the 1.03 update indicated that increased the number of players racing, but additional updates appear to be necessary. It also seems that the scalability is an issue with talk that a number of the servers were already at capacity which should not apparently be happening.

The extremely rocky launch of DriveClub is actually a bit surprising as the game was delayed a number of times so that Evolution Studios could do everything possible to deliver the best game possible. While Forza Horizon 2 on the Xbox One had a few issues, these were relativity small in caparison to what players have been experiencing with DriveClub. It could seem in the battle of the open world driver exclusives, this round goes to Forza Horizon 2 without a doubt.
