Horizon 2 demo arrives on the 16th

Launch trailer arrives a little early

Microsoft has released the launch trailer for the Playground Games developed Forza Horizon 2 a little early. The trailer is captured from all in game footage on the Xbox One version of the title and it also shows a sneak peek of both the off-road and showcase events.

The trailer comes ahead of the release of the demo of Forza Horizon 2 which will arrive on Xbox One for download starting on September 16th. While there is still no official word yet on if there will be a release of a demo for the Xbox 360 version, sources tell us that we should not expect a demo for the Xbox 360 version to arrive at the same time as the Xbox One demo. (We suspect that a demo will be released for the Xbox 360 version in the future, but clearly the focus is on the Xbox One version of the game on the run up to release day.)

As for the game itself, it is set to arrive on both Xbox One and Xbox 360 on September 30th in North America and in Europe on October 3rd. The Xbox One version of the game will be available in a special Day One Edition, but there will be no special edition or day one offering for the Xbox 360 version.

The Day One Edition on the Xbox One includes three unique cars that feature the exclusive “Day One Livery” and turning package. The three Day One Edition cars are: 2014 Ford Fiesta ST, 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392, and the 2014 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG. Some dealers are also offering an additional bonus car such as the 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera that those pre-ordering at Game Stop will receive or the 2008 Ferrari Californa that those pre-ordering from Amazon will pickup.
