North American release date for GTA 5 announced

Written by David Stellmack

Next-gen version to arrive on the 18th

After all of the rumors that it might not make its expected November release, Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC will be released in North America on November 18th, according to a popular online retailer.

We are also hearing that Europe will be able to pick up GTA 5 and join in the next-generation mayhem starting a few days later on November 21st. While the date for the North American release seems solid to us, the European date might be a little more problematic as we continue to hear a November 14th release date, but our sources signal that the 21st is in fact the correct date for the European release from what they know.

As far as potential delays, we are now hearing in a much stronger voice that all systems are go and we will see the release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC as scheduled. There is still significant time to crunch before the release date, so as is the custom these days, expect a day one patch as the developers work all the way up till release day.
