Maxwell GTX 750 brings about new 334.89 driver

by on19 February 2014

Boosts many games with Kepler too

Nvidia has just introduced a new driver, version 334.98 WHQL, the one that replaces the Beta 334.67. The new driver is a must for Maxwell Geforce GTX 750 Ti owners and owners of Kepler and even Fermi cards might benefit from this update, too.

It turns out that this driver can boost some games by up to 19 percent for Geforce 400, 500, 600 and 700 series. The 19 percent boost is Nvidia's figure and it compares performance to the previous WHQL 332.21 driver, not the Beta.

Geforce GTX 770, 780, Titan and GTX 780 Ti will be boosted by up to 19% in F1 2013, up to 18% in Sleeping Dogs, up to 16% in Hitman Absolution, up to 15% in Company of Heroes 2, up to 10% in Assassin’s Creed 3, up to 7% in BioShock Infinite, up to 6% in Sniper Elite V2 and up to 5% in Total War: Rome 2.

This is not bad at all. In addition Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD, Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut and The Crew got an SLI profile.

The new driver supports Geforce Shadowplay and Shadowplay twitch streaming. In case you happen to own a Shield console it supports Nvidia Gamestream as well.

In 3D vision Shadow Warrior and The Stanley Parable have been rated "Excellent" but we don’t know how Nvidia comes up with these criteria. Walking Dead 2, World Rally Championship 4 and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes have been rated as "Good" while Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon has been rated “Fair”.

The new driver is out and available for download at Nvidia. In case you are using Geforce Experience, you will be reminded that there is a new recommended driver that just came out.
