Asus had a busy day yesterday when they introduced a new Eee PC 900 16GB model as well as hand in $100 mail-in rebates for their Eee PC 900 12G and 20G models.

The models in question are still priced at $549.99, but retailers are through these Asus-backed rebates lowering the price to $449.99. These price cuts make these models some $49 cheaper than MSI most expensive Wind offering.

Their new Eee PC 900 16G running on Linux is priced at $399 whereas XP versions come at $449.
