Capcom has confirmed that its game, Dead Rising 3, developed by its Capcom Vancouver studio exclusively for Xbox One has passed one million in sales. Dead Rising 3 was published by Microsoft and was one of the premier launch titles for the Xbox One when it was released.

The Dead Rising franchise has sold over 7 million units in sales across its releases. Dead Rising 3 is the first release in the franchise for this next generation of hardware. As those that have played it will attest to, it makes uses of many of the premier features of the Xbox One, such as SmartGlass, Kinect, and now the rumble triggers with the latest patch release.

Besides the just-released update for Dead Rising 3, Capcom has just released the first of its DLC for the game, which it believes will help the game’s popularity continue to rise as more people purchase the Xbox One. The company expects the sales numbers for Dead Rising 3 to continue to increase.
