Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze gets a release date

Written by David Stellmack

Finally some good news for Wii U owners

Nintendo has confirmed that Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze will arrive at retailers on February 21st in North America. Release dates for other regions will be confirmed soon. The news was delivered by none other than Reggie himself during the VGX Awards.

The game will see Cranky Kong as was rumored earlier last week. Crank Kong looks to be able to bounce using his cane to get over enemies and obstacles alike. A Bramble Scramble level will be featured in the game as well.

The live game play demo that we saw during the VGX awards looked very good and finally provided some good news for Wii U owners who have been waiting a new game to get excited about. It would see that with Tropical Freeze, Nintendo might have hit the jackpot.
