Additional PS4 units inbound to retailers

by on04 December 2013

Both North America and Europe get more

Sony is working hard to get more PlayStation 4 units into the hands of retailers before the Christmas holiday. Word is that Sony has significant numbers of units that are destined for both the North American and European markets which will arrive soon.

Sony claims that the sales numbers for the PlayStation 4 have exceeded all expectations and the company is working hard to get as many units as possible into the pipeline to arrive on dealer shelves before the holiday. The situation in the UK is a bit more time sensitive as the initial shipments did not satisfy all of the pre-orders that retailers in UK had and Sony is aware of this and running to get units there to fill these pre-orders as soon as possible.

What is not clear yet is how many units Sony will be able to deliver in the next couple of weeks and out of the units that it is able to deliver, exactly how many of these units retailer have already committed to pre-orders. It still could be difficult to purchase PlayStation 4 consoles before the holiday as we just don’t see that many consoles that are going to actually end up on dealer shelves before now and the end of the year.
