Watch Dogs comes on 2 discs for 360

by on30 September 2013

Will have GTA 5 like required install to play

Ubisoft has confirmed that the upcoming game Watch Dogs will ship on two discs for the Xbox 360 and require a mandatory install to the hard drive or USB flash drive in order to play the game. The required installation is similar to what Xbox 360 owners have seen previously with games like Forza 4 and most recently Grand Theft Auto 5.

While Ubisoft apparently can’t confirm yet how much space will be required for the installation, they have said that they will be making an announcement regarding the required space at a later date. The publisher also confirmed that the Wii U and PC release will also have a required installation as well. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 releases are expected to ship on a single Blu-ray disc and while they will follow the standard install processes for those consoles, it is not expected that a full installation of the game will be required.

Additional rumors coming out of the Watch Dogs camp seem to suggest that the graphics in the PlayStation 4 version might be the best of the lot. So far no official comment has been run down other than the oblivious, which is that the next generation versions look better than the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U versions of the game. The latest 14 minutes of game play demo video that was released looks pretty good, but no one is talking about which or what kind of hardware that is running on.

Watchdogs is slated for release for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U on November 19th in North America and November 22nd in Europe. Both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are expected to arrive on November 26th in North America and November 29th in Europe. It does look to be one of the big hits this holiday season if players can pull themselves away from the other big titles that are also being released.
