22-inches of dolphin-loving goodness

LG has announced its newest Flatron LCD display that should save few polar bears with its eco-friendly specs.

The new Flatron W2252TE is a 22-inch wide screen LCD display capable of showing a maximum resolution of 1680x1050. It also features a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, 250cd/m2 brightness and a GTG response time of 2ms.

The new "green" Flatron consumes 45 percent, or around 40W, less power than other similar displays. The price is still unknown, but the new Flatron W2252TE should hit European shelves this August.
