Road Redemption announces stretch goals

by on06 May 2013

Oculus Rift and XBLA version if they raise enough

We told you about the Road Rash-inspired Road Redemption and the project looking to get funded by Kickstarter. It has announced a couple of stretch goals if the additional funding can be secured. The project is currently at $106K and if they are able to reach $178K in the next 5 days they would port Road Redemption to the Xbox 360 for release in the Xbox Live Arcade.

Road Redemption still needs to hit its target of $160K to fund the release of the game on the PC, Mac, and Linux platforms for release next July. A Wii U version is planned for release a few months later if initial funding is successful.

The latest footage played on the Oculus Rift could inspire more people to fund it. The game does look pretty good, but there isn’t much time, and still quite a ways to go to get the final funding prior to May 12th. We do think that the game could be very successful with a Xbox 360 release, but it is still a tall order to raise the $178K to make it happen; but you never know.

Consider funding Road Redemption here.
