Heart of the Swarm goes over 1 million

Written by David Stellmack

Only took 48 hours to do that and still climbing

The second part of the StarCraft 2 series from Blizzard Entertainment has been released as everyone knows by now; it has been able to cross the one million threshold in only 48 hours and the number of sales continues to rise.

The Blizzard-supplied figure of 1.1 million copies in the first 48 hours of release accounts for both retail and digital copies of the game that have been purchased.

Wings of Liberty, which was the prior release, did a little better, with it moving 1.5 million copies in the first 48 hours. Still, more sales continue to tumble in and it will add to the money in the coffers at Activision Blizzard for sure.
