Xbox 360 gets new Spring bundle

Written by David Stellmack

Showing up on shelves right away

Microsoft has released a new hardware value bundle for the Xbox 360 as we head into spring. The new bundle will replace the holiday bundle that was previously being offered; but some retailers that we have spoken with tell us that they still have inventory left from the holiday bundle that they will be selling through first before starting to get the Spring Value Bundle in stock.

Right now, the Spring Value Bundle is only confirmed for select US stores. The Spring Value Bundle will include the Xbox 360 250GB S, a single wireless controller, and wired headset. In addition, it will come with digital download copies of Darksiders 2 and Batman: Arkham City, as well as a free month of Xbox Live Gold.

This is apparently the first Xbox 360 bundle that Microsoft has offered where both of the games are digital downloads. Of course, the fact that both of the included titles are digital downloads will eat into the available disk space on that new 250GB hard drive, so you will want to keep that in mind.
