Acer launches austere Ivy-based 11.6-incher

Written by Fudzilla staff

At $399, even Europe could afford one

Acer has unveiled a rather interesting 11.6-inch notebook designed specifically with cash strapped students in mind.

The TravelMate B113 features a 1366x768 screen, Core i3 Ivy Bridge processor, 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive with Windows 8 on top. Not bad for a $399 device weighing in at just 3lbs.

The B113 is shipping in the US and Canada, but there’s no word on availability in Europe and the rest of the world just yet.
