Gearbox confirms no Borderlands 2 for Wii U

Written by David Stellmack

Had no idea how to take advantage of the unique hardware

Borderlands developer Gearbox has confirmed that the Wii U will not be getting a version of Borderlands 2. While the developer admits that they have received a lot of requests about the possibility, it is apparently not happening.

As to why this decision has been made given the success of the franchise, the answer seems to be in the unique nature of the system’s hardware configuration. Gearbox apparently could not come up with an obvious way to exploit the system’s hardware features that the Wii U has.
