Archos rolls out 13.3-inch family tablet

Written by Fudzilla staff

£274.99, ships next month

Kids are crazy about tablets and Archos is looking to cash in by offering a massive 13.3-inch tablet designed with families in mind. The basic idea is that the additional screen real estate will allow families to enjoy videos and games together.

The ArchosFamily pad features a 1280x800 screen, 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. A microSD slot is also on board, so users shouldn’t run out of room for cartoons or Sesame Street. It also features an HDMI output and two 2-megapixel cameras at the front and back.

The FamilyPad is priced at £274.99 and it will ship in Britain next month. It features Android 4.0 rather than Jelly Bean, so it lacks multi-user support which would be a great addition to a family-oriented tablet.
