5 million copies sold of Borderlands 2

Written by David Stellmack

Take-Two has strong second quarter numbers

Take-Two Interactive has announced strong results for the company’s second quarter and these were do in part to strong sales for Boarderlands 2 along with XCOM: Enemy Unknown also delivering excellent sales numbers.

While both XCOM and Borderlands 2 will be getting more DLC in 2013 to build upon the strong digital sales numbers that Take-Two has been seeing, the company claims that the demand for digital delivery offerings is much more robust than what they anticipated.

Beyond the announcement that Borderlands had already sold 5 million copies, the company also was pleased by the early sales numbers coming from NBA 2K13. The company was also looking toward the future with news that BioShick Infinite and Grand Theft Auto 5 look to lead a strong 2013 for the publisher.
