iOS & Android to get Vice City

10th Anniversary Edition includes more

Rockstar has announced that the developer will be bringing Grand Theft Auto Vice City to the iPhone, iPad and Android devices later this fall with a brand new 10th Anniversary Edition. The 10th Anniversary Edition will be getting a fresh coat of paint, with high-resolution graphics and a number of other new enhancements that Rockstar isn’t yet prepared to go into.

The previous release of Grand Theft Auto 3, also released in a 10th Anniversary Edition, didn’t really hit the mark with most players due to the touch-screen controls (which didn’t work very well). While one would think that Rockstar would be addressing this issue, with the little we know there isn’t any way of deciphering what the plans are to addresses these issues with the Vice City release.

No official release date has been announced, but without an overhaul of the control scheme for this release, we have to think that it will not be the best way to experience this classic. We will just have to wait and see.
