Assassin’s Creed III new champion

People are excited about Assassin’s Creed III, apparently, because Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed III has become the most pre-ordered title in Ubisoft history. The pre-orders globally have already eclipsed double the numbers that Assassin’s Creed Revelations did in pre-orders. (Assassin’s Creed Revelations was the former record pre-order record holder for Ubisoft.)

The numbers that Ubisoft is seeing in pre-orders means that Assassin’s Creed III is on track to be one of the top dog titles for 2012. The title is coming on October 31st for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It will then arrive on November 23rd for the PC. While the exact date has yet to be confirmed, the Wii U version will arrive during the console’s launch window.

Ubisoft is also banking heavily on the Season Pass offering for Assassin’s Creed III, which will help boost the bottom line for the title with high quality DLC; and that should help extend the life of the title.
