Galaxy S III Jelly Bean rollout starts August 31

Written by Fudzilla staff

That didn’t take long

Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S III will get its first official taste of Jelly Bean come August 31.

Of course, the pace of the rollout will depend on carriers and vary from region to region, but all things considered, Samsung was rather fast.

Among other things the update will bring Google Now support, and coupled with Jelly Bean’s vastly improved voice search functionality, the update could render Samsung’s S Voice rather pointless.

The notification bar will also be revamped and a few other minor tweaks are on the way, including new wallpapers and palm-swipe screenshot functionality.
