Re-release set to arrive September 26th

Instead of a new Gran Turismo game, Sony will be celebrating the fourth year of the title with a re-release of the game in collaboration with Nissan’s GT Academy program. This is also the fourth year that Sony has collaborated with Nissan’s GT Academy program.

The new release will be called the Academy Edition, and will come with a host of extras that were not included in the original release, as well as DLC content that was only available in the PlayStation Store.

So farm we know that the Academy Edition will include Complete Pack (Car Pack 1, Course Pack 1, Special Paint Pack, Racing Gear Pack), Car Pack 2, Car Pack 3, Course Pack 2, and the Nissan GTR driven in the Nurburging 24-hour race.

It is unclear whether or not Sony will offer the extras as DLC for those that already own the game. It seems from what we understand that those who want the content will have to pay $20 for it and buy the Academy Edition at retail. Sony says, however, that more info will be coming soon that might tell another story.
