Apple has managed to secure another phyrric victory in its never ending patent war with Samsung.

A German court has approved an EU-wide injunction against, prohibiting the sale of Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablets across the continent, apart from Norway, Switzerland and a few Balkan countries nobody really cares about.

However, the court denied Apple’s request to include the Galaxy Tab 10.1N in the ban. Also, banning the 7.7 does not sound like much of a coup, either. Samsung’s baby Galaxy Tab is seriously overpriced and it hardly stands a chance against the Nexus 7 anyway.

The court found that the Galaxy Tab 7.7 infringed on Apple drawings dating back to 2004. Samsung said it welcomes the 10.1N ruling and accused Apple of using generic patents to stifle innovation and progress in the industry.
