Naked video creates spam-bots
Guilty consciences
Security company Marshal is warning that there is a surge of spam attacks after malware distributors cottoned onto a new cunning plan to get victims to open their software.
The latest batch of emails claims that there is a sex video of the person in the email circulating on the Internet. The email is personalized, but other than that is no more than an invite to download malware. However a Marshal spokesman said that it is proving extremely effective at putting more people into the massive Srizbi botnet.
Apparently, victims are so concerned that there might be a naked video of them on the Internet they disengage their brains and panic, clicking on the link to see the video.
