390,000 accounts at risk

Nvidia has shutdown its forums last week due to to "system issue" but has now come clean with the real reason of the shutdown, a large scale hack attack.

According to Nvidia, still unknown attacker or attackers managed to gain access to a bunch of user information including usernames, passwords, email addresses and public about me profile informations. The good part of the story is that Nvidia has hashed all the password but nevertheless it still recommends a change of password if you used a same one on some other sites.

Nvidia will reset all passwords as soon as the forum is up again, and more info should be available as soon as Nvidia finishes its investigation.
