360 South Park title renamed

Now known as “The Stick of Truth”


The Obsidian South Park title that they were working on that was called South Park: The Game, apparently now has a new name. If you look at the Xbox Live Marketplace listing, it now seems to be called South Park: The Stick of Truth.

The game was originally going to be published by THQ; and while no announcement from the publisher has been officially made, it has been rumored for some time that Obsidian was on its own to find a new publisher for the title.  That new publisher appears to be Microsoft Studios.

We don’t know the specifics, but this one will certainly be announced or confirmed at the Microsoft Press conference prior to E3 if Microsoft Studios is going to be publishing it. No word on what is going on from the Obsidian clan, as they are also exceptionally quiet.
