iOS to get Marvel Vs. Capcom 2

Written by David Stellmack

Get it in the App Store on April 25th

After months of speculation, Capcom has finally confirmed that Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 will be coming to iOS. It will be released in the Apple Apps store on April 25th.

The iOS version is said to include 56 characters, including player’s favorites. The iOS version will use the Variable System, which enables players to tag in other team members whenever they like.

Our take is that getting Marvel Vs. Capcom on iOS is a good thing for those users, but we wonder how the virtual buttons on the screen will hold up to the button mashing that is likely to follow for players. In addition, we will be interested to see how well it actually performs on the iOS platform. While Capcom did amazing things with the conversions of Street Fighter IV to the iOS platform, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 could present some interesting challenges of its own. We will only have to wait till April 25th to find out.
