007 Legends game confirmed

Written by David Stellmack

Relive the greatest Bond missions

Activision and developer Eurocom have confirmed that a new 007 James Bond game will be coming this fall. The new game will be called 007 Legends, and it will give players the chance to relive some of Bond’s most iconic missions.

The game will use an original story line that has been developed just for the game that ties six Bond movies together, and it will end with the upcoming film release, Skyfall, which is the 23rd Bond movie. The game promises a lot of Bond everything, including gadgets, stunts, Bond Girls, cars, and (of course) the signature Walther PPK gun that Bond never leaves home without.

In addition to the main story, the game will include single-player Mi6 Ops Missions that were such a popular part of the GoldenEye 007: Reloaded that challenged players to complete missions with the best score in order to take charge of the leader board for that Ops Mission. The Ops Missions to be included will feature some of Bond’s famous villains from various movies.

The game is being developed for release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. We expect a more definite release date to be announced by Activision at E3.
