No Max Payne 3 demo

Just no need for it, say sources

If you have been waiting for the release of a Max Payne demo, you can stop the waiting, as it isn’t happening. Developer RockStar has confirmed that there are no plans to release a demo for Max Payne 3, as confirmed by the official RockStar Twitter account.

Sources whisper to us that the decision not to offer a demo for Max Payne 3 was apparently an easy one. Apparently, the game is so good and has pre-booked so much in sales that RockStar and Take-Two don’t feel there is a need for a demo to be released and sales are expected to be very strong.

The third installment of Max Payne 3 is not being developed by Finnish developer, Remedy Entertainment, or going to feature a story from series creator Sam Lake. Both of these factors were viewed to be risky decisions when the project started, but according to our sources, the game is going to exceed expectations.

The game is set for release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 15th in North America with the European arrival to be on May 18th. A PC version is scheduled for release in North America on May 29th and a European release on June 1st.
